Re: "Violet Reaction"

@gabriel_d7 - mukhang nakakaiba itong mod mo smile nice start bro.

@jamo You can buy acrylic & metal sheets sa binondo area or any graphic arts stores kaso lng medyo mahal. Also try to contact cham_e_lyon he is selling acrylics in custom pre-cut sizes.

Re: "Violet Reaction"

@robo

Thanks sir. I hope so too. Wouldnt want to disappoint all of you... especially myself. By the way, loved your "Project Blue Box" & "Project Rebirth" worklogs. Made it a point to learn from everyone by reading all the worklogs. YOu have no idea how much a person could learn from those.

@doki

Thanks sir. I made sure to get all my materials before starting. Ang funny part, when I've started, may mga narerealize akong may mga kulang pa pala. big_smile By the way, PEAKDAWN was such an intruiging read for me.

@jamo

Korek si Admin Doki. I bought the acrylic sa Manila Acrylic sa Binondo. As for the metal sheets, I bought it at the closest hardware store dito  sa amin. The acrylic I bought costs about 200+ since it's a 0.9cm thick, 12" x 12". May additional charge kung magpapa-cut ka sa kanila.  I hope I was able to help and answer your question. smile

By the way, would you like to have my old side panels? I wont be using them anyway. You mentioned na nawawala yung isang side panel ng iyo. Quezon City ka rin naman, so I think we could meet up and I can give you the side panel(which ever side you need).

And yeah, ang kapal nga ng kaha nya. Shet, mukhang mapapalaban nga ako.

To everyone who's more experienced...

Since this is my first mod, this is also my first experience at taking off rivets. Some of them dont come off. Can someone help me out? How should I get this darn things off? Do I need to cut the bottom part of these rivets with a rotary tool? Sorry if you all find this a stupid question.

Here's one side...

and here's the other....

Take note, I was able to dismantle the case already. When I drilled it, a ring from the rivet came off. But there was something left over. Kainis.

Re: "Violet Reaction"

@gabriel_d7 - other way to remove the rivets is to use rotary tool, flat screw driver and Scratch Awl

step 1 - Use the demel to cut the head of rivet to look like a flat head screw
step 2 - Use the flat screwdriver break the head of the rivet
step 3 - Use the Scratch Awl to push through the rivet.

I hope it helps smile

Re: "Violet Reaction"

@jamo

I meant that I would give you the stock side panels that you saw at the beginning of this thread. And no problem dude, modders help each other nga diba? smile

@doki

Thanks Admin. I was thinking of doing that nga. Naiirita ako at pasaway pa kasi 'tong mga rivets. Hahaha
