Re: My plan PC specs, Win or Fail?

Based on MSI Website, http://www.msi.com/product/mb/A78G41_PC_Mate.html

Motherboard Specs:

AMD A78 Chipset

    AMD Socket FM2+ A-Series/Athlonâ„¢ Processors
    Supports DDR3 Memory
    USB 3.0 + SATA 6Gb/s
Military Class 4: Top Quality & Stability
Military Class Essentials: Total Protection for Military Class Motherboards
OC Genie 4: Overclock in 1 Second
Click BIOS 4: Easily Fine-tune Your System
4K UHD Support: Ultra-high Definition Visual Experience
    3 Display Outputs: HDMI/DVI/D-Sub Support
PCI Express Gen 3: World's 1st PCI Express Gen 3 Motherboard Brand
    Multi-GPU: AMD CrossFire Support
Command Center: Control & Customize Your PC Settings
Fast Boot: Quickly Boot Up & Enter OS in A Few Seconds

I'm not an expert but here's my analysis of your specs and check its compatibility with the motherboard you specify.

1. Processor Socket is compatible (FM2)
2. The processor you specify is a APU, Meaning it has a built in videocard (Radeon HD 8670D) which capable of running games such as BF4, Fallout 3, Borderlands 2, L4D2, etc. Not sure if it can be configure as crossfire if you buy a discrete card.
3. Memory Spec is also compatible
4. Video Card is compatible (refer to item #2 above)

Re: My plan PC specs, Win or Fail?

thanks shamrage,

->but do you think I really need a 700 wtts Power supply or a 450 can handle it?
->its okay if I will take only 1 ram and buy the other ram later (if I decide to upgrade it).
->and do you think I need a vcard as of now as my processor is a APU?

Hi whowoow,

You can calculate the approximate power consumption using this tools:

http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp

its okay if I will take only 1 ram and buy the other ram later (if I decide to upgrade it).

If you decide to use single channel memory you can do it. buy 1 memory then add later. But if you choose to buy a dual channel you cannot buy 1 and add later.

Other questions already answerd by shamrage. I'll answer the other one.

->and do you think I need a vcard as of now as my processor is a APU?

This depends on your needs. What is the primary purpose of your PC? Gaming? Internet use? Graphic designs? etc?

I only drink diluted water.

Re: My plan PC specs, Win or Fail?

Actually, I’m having a hard time to decide if these are the right specs that I must invest for my needs. I’m just a casual gamer who liked to play MOBA/FPS games but my main reason here are, I want to used it for programming and graphic designing purposes. So I’m not really sure if AMD can make it or I have to go for an Intel. But because of the budget, I can’t decide if this is a win or a fail.

A 20-22k. As of my computation, those specs including the case are worth 22k in total.
